I am holding in my hands a permit issued from the Environmental Ministry, granting us permission to extract the neckerite sample from Vindahellir.
Winter is fast approaching and Arnar and I are eager to press ahead before any significant snowfall (though Arnar is complaining about having to go underground again). Our forecasts predict a window of dry, but windy, weather early next week. We will make arrangements to go to Vindahellir with a team of mining engineers.
It is short notice, but I would be particularly delighted if you could to join us. If we successfully recover the neckerite, it could immediately be flown back to the UK with you.
